Like the associate of Arts, the associate of science degree is transferable and covers coursework of general education, liberal arts, and science but with more focus on Science and Maths.

This degree is usually more specific, narrowly focused, and also includes technical courses. It is best for those students who want to pursue a career or further studies in technical and science-related fields.

So, the difference between these two degrees is that an Associate of Arts degree in general and focuses more on liberal arts while an Associate of Science degree is specific and focuses more on science and math.
