The dean of every school reviews the performance of students through their results at the end of every academic year. If you have a total of 1.7 or above Grade points, you will receive a good academic standing but if your CGPA is 1.7 or below, you will receive a warning that is also called academic probation. This academic probation will last till your next semester or until your grades will improve.

But don’t worry because academic probation does not refer to ending your school life but a serious warning. Many other students find themselves in this situation, therefore you are not alone in this struggle.

Meaning of Academic Probation.

Every newly admitted student is required to score certain grades for enrollment into the college. If he or she fails to maintain these minimum grades, they fail out of college.

Therefore, the college provides an academic probation period to students so that they put their efforts to maintain or improve their grades. You can also consider academic probation as a punishment.

If you are a Master’s student, you have to gain a minimum 3.0 grade and above or you will get academic probation.

Requirements must be fulfilled by students placed on academic probation

•             They should pass a certain number of credits according to their college.

•             He should try to have a good CGPA.

•             Timely meet with their academic advisor for feedback.

If students fail to have good grades:

1.            They cant choose their desired courses.

2.            They can be suspended academically for 1 year.

3.            They can lose their financial help.

4.            They can be flunked out of college for not having good grades during the period of probation.
