The taste of cattle gone is sweet and there is only a small amount of salt. But having sugar in its preparation does not mean it has fat as it has a lower content of fat. Popcorn is a whole grain snack and is prepared by exposing it to heat. When it is subjected to heat it gets popped or puffed. It pertains to the family of Poaceae of the Plantae Kingdom. They are salty. There are many types of popcorn namely dent corn, flint corn, pod corn, steam-driven corn, kettle corn, etc.

Popcorn is prepared in a pot or vessel which belts pressure while heated. They can also be made in a microwave or popcorn maker. Unlike Kettle Corn, it does not require continuous stirring. In the preparation of popcorn, the major ingredients include kernels, butter, and salt. As they are salty but many flavors like chili, cheese, cinnamon, etc are also used to increase their taste. Popcorns are antioxidants and driven.

The first popcorn was made in Mexico around 3600 BC. However, it come into recognition in the 19th century when kernels became accessible on the east coast of the US

Popcorn is made in any pot or vessel in which it is heated with pressure. While Kettle Corn is prepared in a utensil made of cast iron.

  • Stirring

The preparation of popcorn does not require any stirring while Kettle corn requires continuous stirring until it is served.

  • Ingredients

The major ingredients in the preparation of popcorn include corn butter and salt. While the preparation of traditional Kettle Corn includes corn, oil, sugar, and salt.

  • Taste

Popcorn is generally salty to taste while Kettle Corn is sweet to taste.

  • Flavors

Popcorn can be prepared using many flavors like chili cheese cinnamon etc for maximizing taste. While Kettle corn is prepared with caramel only.

  • Health benefits

Popcorn and cattle corn both are rich in antioxidants and fiber which means both are healthy snacks. But Popcorn is healthier than Kettle Corn.
